Hello!
How are you? Today here is a reminder to all of you about our first presentations.
While I have already given you the handouts about the presentations, I will post these here again so you can have another way to remember what you have to do.
Topics
While I have already given you the handouts about the presentations, I will post these here again so you can have another way to remember what you have to do.
Topics
Here are your choice of topics. They're based on what we've done so far in class. You can choose one (1) of these:
• Issues and solutions about the environment
• Facts and other interesting things about our solar system or space
Deadlines (締め切り)
Your presentation day will be on June 1st (6/1), so you have two (2) week(s) to prepare them. Please be ready on the day to present.
NEW NOTE - here are the presentation groups for the 3rd period (3限):

Guidelines
1. Prepare a summary (要約) with your partners about the topic you want to present on. The summary will be due next week.
NEW NOTE ABOUT SUMMARIES - here is an example of what a summary should look like:
例えば:While the Earth has the volume of water to sustain life, researchers believe that traces of water exist on the other planets of the Solar System. In our presentation, we will look at the planets in our Solar System that are likely to have water, and if so, what kinds of life they may be able to sustain.
The summary should have a short introduction showing the topic and any issues or problems, or interesting points about it. Then you and your partner should show that you will then present on what these issues, problems, or points are. It should be short, and indicate (指し示して) what aspect of the topic (話題の向き) you will present on.

2. With your classmates, fill in the topic preparation sheet that comes with the handout. There is a section on it to fill out the summary. This is a working record of your group’s preparation about your topic.
3. Be ready for me to review your progress next week and for your group to practice your presentation in-class. You can practice with me and/or other group of students.
4. Finalize your presentation outside of class and be ready to present on the day of your class!
Good luck! See you next time!
